A: Dark brown. Lighter brown head. Sudsy, foam look. No lacing. Really good clarity. Not sexy, but a workman's beer.
S: Sweet malts pairs with soft wood notes: beech, sandal, cherry.
M: Body has some weight to it. A little syrupy. Moderate carb.
T: Sweet and smoky beer. Initial chocolate followed by smoke and wood flavor. Not much else; maybe some fruitiness derived from the choco. Really a tale of two flavors.
