First had: on tap at their brewpub
Mehhh...didn't care for this at all. Slightly hazy golden-brown color, with a firm cap of white head that retained well, scads of fizzy carbonation. Light aroma, scents of bitter hops, grains, grass. Taste was pretty dang acrid, metallic, old grains, old hops, hay; just really bland and stale. This is a good style of beer, but I can't say the Gilded Otter quite nailed it with this one. Light body, prickly and awkward, thin and soda-like. Not very good, and my least preferred selection from the brewery for sure.

A hazy light gold colored brew with a small, slowly settling head and good lacing. The nose is mildly sweet and malty with hints of undefined spices and fruits. In the taste these elements are somewhat muddled and not all that tasty; it's bitter in a nondescript way...fruitiness from the nose fails to materialize and instead of a pleasantly sweet maltiness there is a harsh and slightly metallic spicy rye note.
Medium thin bodied with medium carbonation. Quite dry in the finish with a bit of lingering bitterness. I'm not sure what exactly they were going for here but it felt like a bit of a mess to me and just not enjoyable to drink.
