Really nice atmosphere in a pub-like bar with attached restaurant. Staff were enthusiastic and offered a tasting initially (4 beers and 1 cider for $5.00) - good value, however would have been nicer if the glass matched the serving size (~50 mL in a 200 mL glass). Snack food was quite nice but a little expensive for the serving sizes.

Beer was very good, in particular the Naked and Summer ales, however it was a bit poor to not be able to get the Naked Ale for takeaway (despite being advertised), cost themselves $50 because of this and also the stock was only available cold for takeaway, not great when it was lunchtime and still had a few hours till I got home.

A very nice place with great atmosphere and good service, 20% discount on take aways if eating was good, but eally pulled price back to reasonable. Definately worth a visit.

The coldstream Brewery in a short time has become an integral part of the Yarra Valley social scene.
It is very popular with locals and rightly so.
The pub is small and thus cosy.
Meals on offer are well priced and ideal for the brew pub concept.
As of writing they have their pilsner and cider on tap as well as a few Coopers selections.
Better known Australian micro breweries are available by the bottle.
The selection could be broader by the bottle however .The long awaited Ales that are to come from the Brewery are well long awaited.
This is a very convenient place for myself , howver given the lack of different beers on tap it is not likely to attract too many drinkers from Melbourne at this stage
