I had this on tap at CB Six in Manhattan. It was dark copper with a reddish hue, very thin head. The aroma was IPA-ish, bitter hops and a little spicy. The flavor was scathing bitterness, a little belly burn as well. A nice Rye beer, to compete with Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye or Founders Red's Rye.

a: This was a hazy rusted copper color. It was served to me with a few sad looking bubbles clinging to the side of the glass.
s: Smells strongly of rye bread, very sour and quite fresh. Moderate amounts of piney hops as well.
t: Big overwhelmingly pungent rye notes. They were very assertive and borderline obnoxious. I've never tasted rye so strongly before. At the very end some faintly piney bitterness kicked in, but by then it was too late.
m: I've had plenty of casked beer and none were any where near as flat as this was. Very watery and quite still.
d: Once was enough for me. This was very unpleasant overall.

On tap at Coles, poured from the tap a slight hazed light golden with a tight formed 1/2 finger white head.Lighter aromas simple a tough of lemon and toasty grain with a tough of herbal hop.I would have liked more hop profile on the palate mostly toasty and grainy with a touch of sour rye but it doesnt hit home really.Decent and drinkable but honestly quite boring I was hoping for more.

On-tap at Cole's, this is an APA. Neutral smell, lighter mouthfeel with whitish head on light yellow body almost clear. Low on hops, and even rye taste is moderate. Drinkable like a lager. Above average carbonation. I like more bold rye taste and fuller mouthfeel.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a nicely arranged combination of resiny and piney hops and spicy rye malt.
The taste consisted of a clean and spicy malt with a touch of sweetness. The hop element, while not overpowering, presented itself throughout the experience.
The mouthfeel was of average fullness with some residual hop spice.
Overall another fine beer from Chelsea. Full of flavor and character. Very drinkable.
