Gear Up is a Northwest-Style IPA with a dry and tropical-hop profile. The recipe was made to provide a direct line to complex hop aromas and flavors of ripe passionfruit, pineapple, and mango. The beer is also HUB’s first foray into the world of 12 oz. six-pack can.

As always this is another good beer from HUB. I really like IPA's and this is another good one. With all the other beers I tried I'm not quite sure if I got a good feel for this beer as I thought at the time it was better than average, but not much. I think I will have to try it again to see. Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking burnt yellow muddy color, some murky orange tainting here and there. Small white foamy head slowly dissipating to leave some sporadic non-clingy lace.
The aroma had a semi-bitter yet soft floral to piney bitter needle-like hop arrangements slightly meshing with a clean West coast maltiness.
The flavor leaned towards the bittersweet piney quality then seemed to embrace more of a balance between malts and hops as it warmed. Malty aftertaste with some burnt hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation and some stickiness. Brisk finish of piney hops, light on the malts.
Overall, fairly decent IPA. Maybe again.

This was recommended by my buddy at the liquor store. It’s pricier than the local LA or SD stuff but I thought what the hell and went for it. Poured it from the cool looking can into a cold glass. It’s a light colored, hazy beer. Tastes like a light, citrusy, piney drink. Slightly tart. It hides the 6.2 abv very well, extremely smooth. Not too hoppy but I wish it was.I would drink it again for sure, but more than likely I’ll save $3 and buy something more local. I’d rate it a 3.9 but I’m bumping it up to a 4.

12 oz single can bought from Lifesource in Salem OR $1.80 Pours an ever so slightly hazy gold with a very atractive 3/4 inch white creamy head. Aromas of tropical fruit..certainly pineapple and mango...quite "bright" stil. Taste similar but maybe too sugary sweet..but it certainly goes down well enough. The mouth feel is OK..its medoum thickness and slightly above medium carbonation..it works. I found this a very nice drinkable summer IPA,

HUB GEAR UP IPA
12oz can purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane. According to the stamp on the bottom of the can, this was canned on December 20, 2016. According to the info on the can, it's 14 ° plato, 6.2% alcohol and has 65 IBUs
Poured into a Big Sky Brewing shaker pint glass, this was a hazy, cloudy shade of golden amber, with a big, pillowy white head. Said head took quite a while to drop and left lots of lace on the sides of the glass. Gazing into the glass, one could see scores of tiny bits of sediment floating about.
Grapefruity and piney hop aromas were on hand to greet the workers at my olfactory, along with a mildly sweet malt scent.
Modestly sweet and bitter hop flavors led the charge, with some mildly sweet, caramelly malt flavor providing a backbone.
Mildly dry at the swallow.
Medium bodied, with a slightly creamy and resiny mouthfeel.
Decent but nothing essential. This would be a pleasant IPA to quaff at a bar a couple times in a sitting, but isn't something I'd exert much effort towards to track down.

Golden amber, on the lighter side of it anyway. Bubbly, tan head with streak lacing. Aroma is light citrus and cracker malt. The flavor reminds me of a watered down version of their flagship IPA. It's not bad, but not as good. Some orange, grapefruit, and herbal notes. The cracker malt gives it a smooth, drinkable quality. A bit thin in the finish, but not a bad aftertaste. I think this beer is decent, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.
