I had Hub’s Organic Wave Train at their new Vancouver location.
Per the description on the beer menu, it is an amber ale inspired by Vienna lagers...
Served in a mug, the beer is amber with a sticky beige head that leaves lots of lacing. It has great clarity.
The aroma is of lightly toasted grains and some Rye like spice.
This one is malt forward with a nice nutty taste. There is some pepper/spice like hop bite and a hint of ripe plums. Cereal like in the finish.
The mouth is medium and crisp.
At 5.5% and 23 IBUs this is an easy drinker and a good beer to pair with food

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
