HOPWORKS FEROCIOUS CITRUS IPA 6.7 abv
This beer is made with tangerines but don’t hold that against it as its refreshing especially in summer heat. It pours a cloudy dark amber color with a low head. Yes you do taste tangerine in the taste but enough body to blend in and
make a very good brew. The tangerine is mixed with grapefruit and I really dig the taste. I like it.

Pours hazy dark orange. Citrus in the aroma as expected. Orange and a little grapefruit. Smells sort of like orange juice. Tastes a lot like orange juice too. A bit of pine. Very low bitterness. Rather thin. Could have more malt body and more hops. Drinkable and refreshing but not a great example of the style. One can is fine but I regret buying a 4 pack. I'll drink it, though.

Can from Brewers Haven. Orange golden hazy pour with small, ring of white head. Aroma is citrus, oranges, grapefruit. Taste too is quite juicy, a bit too juicy perhaps. Faint hops bite at the end, Smells and tastes wonderful, but misses where it needs it the most, at the malt and the hops. Disappointed.

Okay so craft beer from the Pacific Northwest (at least from Oregon) are always kind of special. Because of the hops? Because of the water? (no, I don’t mean Olympia...)
Ferocious Citrus might not be as ferocious as I expected (of course, my imagination puts stakes quite high), still it’s quite citrusy, hey it was brewed with grapefruits!
Smells pretty nice, quite natural and rather citrusy again, but not so much in a “hoppy citrusy” kind of way, but rather like the fruit. Its taste is also infused with the fruit juice, backed up with some malt sweetness and the result is almost like a kind of orange, low bitterness.
I found the beer a bit watery sometimes, which was not bad after all, considering that it has been made with fruits. Perhaps best to think of it as a semi-fruit IPA, and as such, it is awesome.

Really cloudy orange juice colour with lots of fine bubbled carbonation and a finger of vanilla ice cream head.
Smells of grapefruit juice, citrus orange, and tomato juice.
Tastes of canned orange juice, a hint of malt, and a mild bitterness that lingers.
Medium to pulpy, juicy body with moderate carbonation.
Got in Medford, Oregon, drinking in Redding, CA, Dec 10th, 2018. Very decent brew, much like a New England IPA.
