Pours hazy dark orange. Citrus in the aroma as expected. Orange and a little grapefruit. Smells sort of like orange juice. Tastes a lot like orange juice too. A bit of pine. Very low bitterness. Rather thin. Could have more malt body and more hops. Drinkable and refreshing but not a great example of the style. One can is fine but I regret buying a 4 pack. I'll drink it, though.

Can from Brewers Haven. Orange golden hazy pour with small, ring of white head. Aroma is citrus, oranges, grapefruit. Taste too is quite juicy, a bit too juicy perhaps. Faint hops bite at the end, Smells and tastes wonderful, but misses where it needs it the most, at the malt and the hops. Disappointed.

Okay so craft beer from the Pacific Northwest (at least from Oregon) are always kind of special. Because of the hops? Because of the water? (no, I don’t mean Olympia...)
Ferocious Citrus might not be as ferocious as I expected (of course, my imagination puts stakes quite high), still it’s quite citrusy, hey it was brewed with grapefruits!
Smells pretty nice, quite natural and rather citrusy again, but not so much in a “hoppy citrusy” kind of way, but rather like the fruit. Its taste is also infused with the fruit juice, backed up with some malt sweetness and the result is almost like a kind of orange, low bitterness.
I found the beer a bit watery sometimes, which was not bad after all, considering that it has been made with fruits. Perhaps best to think of it as a semi-fruit IPA, and as such, it is awesome.

Really cloudy orange juice colour with lots of fine bubbled carbonation and a finger of vanilla ice cream head.

Smells of grapefruit juice, citrus orange, and tomato juice.

Tastes of canned orange juice, a hint of malt, and a mild bitterness that lingers.

Medium to pulpy, juicy body with moderate carbonation.

Got in Medford, Oregon, drinking in Redding, CA, Dec 10th, 2018. Very decent brew, much like a New England IPA.

22oz bottle pours a very cloudy a mass into my pint glass. It's a dingy yellow, and completely opaque from the haze, not unlike a glass of grapefruit juice. Forms a small amount of white head. Aroma is citrus-forward and hoppy, but not overwhelmingly fruity or grapefruity. Flavor has both big C-hop character and grapefruity juice sourness. The combination of bitter and sour flavors is powerful but well balanced, and neither is overpowering, which makes for a surprisingly drinkable, if ferocious, fruit beer. If anything, the harshest part might be the carbonation.

22oz bottle - a grapefruit IPA, in that they actually have it as the first item in the ingredient list, if that means anything.

This beer pours a murky, medium apricot yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves a thin band of frilly lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells of musty domestic citrus rind, grainy and bready caramel malt, a bit of meaty yeastiness, and some plain leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, an ethereal caramel sweetness, still rather lifeless generic citrus notes, more clammy yeast, and some underwhelming earthy, musty, and dead floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-coddling frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and generally smooth, I suppose, but for a strange pithiness that grows as things slowly warm up around here. It finishes off-dry, with the yeasty character starting to look like the worst kind of houseguest - the kind that never goes home.

Overall - yeah, there's no evident freshness dating on this offering, but I've also experienced this sort of thing with 'all-organic' ingredients, so, who knows? At any rate, if they didn't outright indicate that there was grapefruit in this one, I wouldn't have detected it. Not good, not good, I'm afraid to say.

I love the look of this beer. It has that thick, cloudy look, but without being off putting, like beers that have that look, but aren’t supposed to. Unfortunately, the look of this beer was my favorite thing about it. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s lacking something in the flavor to make it stand out among some of the other delicious ipa’s in this style. Glad I tried it, but won’t repeat.

I liked Ferocious quite a bit, but I only had one can, given to me by a buddy who loves it to death. I feel satisfied with that one can. As someone who started his Beer Run just early enough before the juice craze to fall in love with bitter hop bombs, this isn't what I look for in an IPA. However, that doesn't stop this from being one helluva tasty, aromatic, gorgeous looking beer. Lots of carbonation meets nearly puree levels of citrus, mostly grapefruit juice, with a fairly dry finish. Worth trying, and sharing.

This beer is like your cool uncle on thanksgiving. Hes fun to be around and toss a few back with, but the novelty wears off quick and you eventually just want to hang out with someone your own style.
This beer passes as an ipa in today's world, but in reality its just a fruity pale ale. Another beer that uses the "IPA" in its title to sell, instead of actually wow you.

Looks like an ugly glass of orange juice. Minimal eggshell white head and minimal lacing.

Smells nearly completely of grapefruit juice. Maybe 10% orange juice, but I mean straight citrus.

Flavor is mostly juice as well. A bit of orange peel and rind, a bit zesty even, with a decent amount of pine in the finish.

A good did of carbonated juiciness hits first, then ends very dry and bitter.

It's a decent beer overall, but with so many other great HUB alternatives, this would be very low on my revisit list. Cheers!

Cloudy pale amber brew with plenty of lacing in the big Duvel tulip. Appealing sudsy mouthfeel. Citrus in the back of the throat. Grapefruit aroma. Light body, crisp, and juicy.

Sort of murky but not unpleasant. Has an interesting peppery taste. Moderate bitter aftertaste with a distinct pithy bite. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham, Wash.

22oz bottle served in a large snifter. I don't see a date on it.

Pours a hazy, slightly pinkish-white-amber, with a medium sized head and a ton of carbonation. Smell is grapefruity and a little malted-grainy.

Taste is bitter grapefruit, seems thin and dry.

Mouthfeel is thin and dry. Overall, pretty good.

A very refreshing brew. Quite cloudy, lots of grapefruit taste and smell. Crisp and easy drinking for a rare hot day in Seattle. Very happy with this.

At their Vancouver, WA taproom. A hazy pour with a very light head. Nice hop aroma, but not sharp. Taste is citrus-hop forward (what else?) and a bit light on the malts.

Nice mellow flavors with prominent grapefruit nicely complementing the hop bitterness; balanced by mild peppery sweetness and a hint of malt. Enjoyable and refreshing.

Smell grainy funk and citrus.
Taste is grapefruit zest some funky dank hops with pale malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with average carbonation. Finish is tart medium dry and lightly bitter.
Overall a refreshing brew. Canned on date shows it is about one month old.

Hazy, orange in color, thin, foamy head with very little lacing. Aroma is ripe fruit and butterscotch, with citrus and caramel malt. Flavor is grapefruit and pine, bread, and citrus. Resinous and bitter. A bit of tartness. Thick mouthfeel. NW style IPA with hops forward flavor.
