Purchased in a Crowler at the Vancouver location. A very dark pour, frothy head which fades rather quickly. A solid smell of roasted chestnuts, notes of pumpernickel bread. As a porter, expect a dry, lighter ale than a stout and this one does a great job here. Tasty with a hint of sweetness, but not cloying.
