Robot Panda is a fruity and juicy Hazy IPA that is easy drinking from start to finish. This Hazy IPA balances a soft and fluffy malt body with big hop additions of Denali, Lemondrop, and Cascade. It’s the perfect Hazy IPA to kick off the summer.

Hazy, milky light orange look, with a lacy and lasting, creamy white head. Light amount of a slight tart, mixed citrus peel aroma, with a pineapple laced, lightly toasted malt tinge to it. Bright, mixed citrus peel flavor, with a little extra lemon. Quite light on the malt, body and flavor.

From tap in San Diego. Opaque, amber to orange in color. Little head.
Aroma is hoppy bright citrus, very juicy.
Flavor: danky, resiny hops but majorly dry hopped, so loads of juicy hops with funk stone fruits with no major single hop flavor shining through. Quite unique. OK, maybe more of a lemon zest hoppiness is the dominant thing going on but it's hard to say. I like the hop bill!
Mouthfeel: soft, zippy, but finishes dry. Maybe not the most well balanced, but maybe it is...it's just different. I need to try this again.
Wow, this is a different hazy and one I'd try again happily.

Enjoyed on tap at the source.
Pours pretty clear. There’s some light tropical notes on the nose, and the sip follows with the same. Low bitterness and a sweet finish.

for a modern hazy with a bunch of cool hops, this beer is kind of bad, at least on tap by the pint from the boise bar i had it at, that i will not name here for their own sake. hard to blame this on the establishment though, its fuller bodied but not real lively, its hop forward but generic and uninteresting to both my nose and my palate, and honestly for how much i have liked these guys, this is pretty weak. i taste a little faded even oxidized hops, odd for a keg, and its kind of soupy and thick to me. nothing about the hop profile is exciting or new, and this immediately strikes me as one of the least impressive beers i have had from these guys, who frankly have been stoking me out lately and i have been buying a ton of it. heavy in feel and sort of malty in flavor without being sweet, like too starchy and full, tired and sort of fatiguing at the same time, slightly metallic, something strange in the ferment, its unclean and definitely not to the quality standard of their best beers, especially in this instance. i will revisit this, but first impression was lousy, these guys are capable of way more, literally everything else on the shelf is better to me than this one was. more to come on it, but really a step below what i have come to expect from them in terms of quality...
edit: not sure what accounted for the bad experience more than four years ago now in the above review, but had a can of this on thanksgiving 2025 and was into it, more pale and effervescent than i remember, yellowish and holding a gorgeous inch of thick white foam. brighter on the hop side too, no oxidation, bitter citrus character all through it, softly tropical with a late coconut thing, and nice punch on the swallow, seems far more refined than i remember, glad to have this redeemed, it never made sense to me for such a great brewery, thinking now i just caught it wrong. improving most of the scores here to be closer to the more recent and far superior experience!

Very unpleasant feel with more kerosene than beer. Something went wrong here as the panda robots took over and ruined a perfectly decent beer. That’s it for me!

Fairly nice crisp IPA, not really NE style but quite tasty nonetheless. 1/21/20 date printed on can so this may have been a little old. Pours a darker golden color with some fluffy white head and spotty lingering lacing. No haze. Smells of crisp grapefruit and lemon, orange and pineapple. Also some malt, vanilla and weaker herbal hops. Taste follows the nose, decent balance, quite crisp and refreshing. Smooth mild mouthfeel, a little sticky, good carbonation. Not bad at all!
