This beer began its life as Abominable Winter Ale before being gently whisked away and laid to rest in freshly emptied Kentucky Whiskey barrels. In the whiskey barrel, the beer picked up notes of vanilla, oak, spice, caramel, and whiskey.

One of my favorite beers, nice roasted malt flavor with a high ABV that doesn't taste that high. Very thin head, but dark and smooth. Got a growler last winter, because it is so good. Though it was somewhat on the expensive side. Rated 9-16-2020

L: Pours a light brown tan orange color with a small white head and no lacing.
S:. Notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, a light whiskey but it is not a super strong whiskey aroma, notes of berry.
T:. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, a touch of molasses, and a medium hop bitterness, some whiskey and a note of berry.
F:. Medium body, maybe a touch thin but still good.
O:. The whiskey is a little light here but still a good beer.

16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Copper colored pour, small foamy head dissipates. Malty aroma, tobacco, caramel. Taste layers on the bourbon barrel notes, with the caramel malts and a touch of sweetness. Sweet, sticky finish, seems thin.
