Pours a clear amber golden with a nice head that goes away rather quickly. Aroma is light hop and biscuity malt, with a hint of citrus. Taste is lightly hoppy with a light creaminess and some carbonation. On first sip it tasted a little too hoppy, but after a few sips it seemed about right. 40 IBUs Rated 7-5-2023

Six-pack of cans poured in to a pint glass. Pours a gold color, hazy with a thin bubbly white head. Smell us sweet and fruity. Taste is a dry bitter flavor. Mouthfeel is the same. A little dry and chalky.

again, props for being organic, but this is just a pale ale, a little overly malty in an old school way, and as with a lot of hopworks stuff in idaho so far, doesnt taste all that fresh, which has been true whether packaged or draft in my experience more often than not, a shame, but still a solid pale here, especially if you like them a little bit sturdy. this has a slight rust tone to it, isnt all that clear but doesnt look intentionally hazy either, and has a high white head from the tap and lots of intricate lace as i sip it down. immediately a little bit of papery oxidation to it, northwestern spicy hops without heavy bitterness to me, perhaps centennial and cascade or something similar, nothing new wave or innovative about it (and if there is, they did a poor job with the hops), other than it being organic ingredients of course. the flavor is well balanced, somewhat more bitter than flavorful in terms of hops, lightly nutty from the grain, and seems appropriate as summer moves into fall. hearty for its lower abv, earthy and even a little starchy on the grain side, perhaps a touch of an english yeast element too, i taste something from the ferment. anyway, its just a pale ale, true to style as the style was a decade or two ago, otherwise unremarkable, greater freshness would improve this radically, although i did not ask or look for a date on the keg, this seemed a little faded. overall i continue to enjoy exploring their beers flooding the idaho market, but have yet to be too stoked on any of the hoppy ones...

12oz can. Bright golden pour, initial thick foamy head. Aroma is split between some toasted malts and light hop resin. Malts are more prominent in the taste, and backed up by light fruity flavors and classic hops. Finishes mildly dry and bitter.
