A bold Imperial IPA built for the colder months, Ace of Clubs has a big malt body that plays perfectly with classic NW dank pine and grapefruit flavors, leaving you with tropical notes of coconut and passionfruit amidst its massive IBU that clocks in at a cool 100.

This beer by appearance looks more like a straight IPA as the color is golden. The hop taste is quite strong for an Imperial but not overpowering. I didn't find the malt to be very pronounced, but it did have a dankness and tropical notes. Very good beer! Rated 1-23-2021

16oz canned in mid-February and poured into an IPA nonic.

A: Mostly clear gold with a fluffy, tight-bubbled white head.

S: Really comes off piney and sappy/resiny with a fairly strong sweet-malt backbone and some grapefruit pith.

T: Follows the nose perfectly with those piney/herbal/resiny/dank notes and malty sweetness, as well as a moderate dose of pungent tropical fruit.

MF: Dry and bitter and full-bodied with a touch of warmth.

O: Pretty straight-up PNW double IPA with lots of pine and a hefty malt backbone.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Amber body, light haze, patchy head. Aroma is caramel malts, pine, mint, spruce. Hops grab the palate instantly, bracing, tingly. Sweet caramel malts in the back ground, notes of spruce and juniper. Classic NW with a touch of hazy.
