Pours a clear dark reddish brown with abundant foam in the big Stout glass. Nose of roasted grain. Lush and sudsy on the tongue with a lively mouthfeel. Rather sweet and malty, but balanced by the burnt sugar and dark malt. Some rich honey taste that goes well with the pleasant whiff of herbal hops and modest bitter aftertaste. Quite a pleasant and quaffable dark brew, and one of the better Porters I’ve had this year. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Co-op market in Mount Vernon. Dated 9/21/22.
