i have come to really admire the hoppy beers these guys make, the salmon safe hops is so cool and there always seems to be something unique about these beers. this one is bold enough to be considered an ipa too i reckon, at least right on the edge, but the low alcohol and restrained bitterness make it work fine as a pale too. soft and hazy looking beer, pale straw colored whitewashed looking with no shine and a creamy lasting inch of head, pillowy, lacy, and lasting. maybe not the freshest can, but it still smells and tastes extremely fresh, most of these dont do well for long, this one seems to be outperforming others. the nose is spicy to me, could be a cascade hop thing or even a highly dosed noble varietal, uncommon for sure, attention grabbing, pretty bold and bitter seeming too but not green. subtle dried lemon, white currant, and white pepper too, i wish i new what hops were in this, its very distinct, and that carries over to the flavor too. a dry and earthy grain base as a foundation, some real body to it, has to be wheat, maybe even unmalted wheat, and there is a light graham cracker thing too, dry at the end but plenty of support and counterpoint to the hops which define this. spicy again, with an early flavor climax, some subtle berry behind herbal intensity, things like tarragon and mountain sage come to mind, pine and some juniper too but its less familiar, some juiciness and citrus support, but this remains unique to me the whole way. pretty fast finishing with a clean ferment and snapping bitterness, i like that in a hazy, pale or ipa, it works. very compelling beer overall, id love more info about it, but the quality is awesome, the recipe presents as unique, and the beat goes on for these guys. cool can art too! great beer, surprised it doesnt have better ratings. our local breweries in boise should take note...

16oz can from HomeBrewStuff. Pale yellow hazy pour, fizzy white head. Aroma is fruity, tropical with minor dank notes. Taste amps up the dankness abit, still fruity, light bitterness tapering off quickly. Nothing much remains on the palate.
