I think I had this beer a number of years ago and I thought I would give it a try again. I don't like Gin as an alcoholic drink, but though I would give it a try anyhow. Got a sample glass and did not like this at all, mainly because of the Gin. I though this beer was horrible. I've tried other barrel-aged beers and the only ones I've liked are bourbon or rum. Too much gin flavor!! Rated 1-31-2023

On tap into a snifter @ Bottleworks. Pours a clear ruby amber w/ a soft head/film.
Aroma: gin barrel immediately evident; dominant. Not much else really other than the gin.
Taste also has a strong gin presence. Dark sweet malt, buttery. Alcohol heat @ back of the throat.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy w/ a slightly bitter finish.
Overall, for me the gin/juniper is simply too dominant here, almost medicinal. Didn't enjoy this one much.
