Had on-tap at HUB in Portland, OR. Poured a dark brown color with ruby highlights. Minimal bubble ring that left no lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet with a distinct "burnt" scent. Smoky? Not quite...then the smell became apparent in the taste. This brew sort of tastes like old, burnt coffee. I usually love coffee flavor in beer, but this just tastes...weird.
Mouthfeel was really thin for the style. Almost watery. Still medium in body...drying from the weird old/burnt coffee flavor. Low carbonation.
Not terrible, but certainly not the best representation of the style.

I was not too impressed with this porter. Poured a clear, reddish brown color, nearly see-through, with a small, off-white head. Not too much to speak of in the aroma; soft, dark malts, sugary, grainy. Taste was pretty weak as well; again, soft malts, sugary, burnt coffee, a bit astringent, slightly bitter in the aftertaste. Pretty mellow, but not very sessionable. On the lighter side of medium-bodied, and fairly drinkable if you like less threatening (aka less flavorful) beers.
