COAST Brewing Company is a family owned craft brewery, on an old Navy base. We make beer we like to drink, simple and done well. We believe in choice organic and local ingredients. But it's not just about being organic, it's a certain mind set of considering the environment in everything we do. In fact, we're not certified organic and have no plans to be-we do it because we believe it's the right thing. All of our ingredients are listed, noting which are organic. Welcome and thanks for your continued support!

Gotta love laid back industrial breweries. Like you walked into a buddy’s garage. Great location, chill spot, friendly owners. And obviously top quality beers. Blown away by the Kolsch and Smoked Rye Pale. And happy to hear they’re expanding, because they deserve it. This is a must-visit for any self-respecting craft beer drinker.

I want to like this place, but the guy serving beers was creepy and the gnats were terrible. That killed the vibe. The beer was ok, but it seems like it's always the same exact beers being offered.

I know these guys are the OG's but they are letting other breweries pass them by. I hope that the brewpub they are planning comes together.

This place makes great beer and they are putting all resources towards that goal right now so I totally get that. But at some point I hope they accomplish more than a few picnic tables out on the front lawn with obscene death metal lyrics cranked.

Spartan tap room, basically some folding chairs and tables set up in the brewery for 3 days a week, no actual bar.
Selection was lacking, just their main lineup of 3 packaged beers and Event Horizon, a black IPA.
Quality was great though, 32/50 was my go-to all week long, I love that beer. The selection here was pretty basic unfortunately. We stayed for a round and took off, as the mosquitos outside were pretty bad.
I wouldn't say it's worth a detour at all. Seemed like there was a loyal crowd of locals here, but when their canned beer is available everywhere and days-old, why make the trip across town? With other North Charleston spots a mile away, it's not much of a destination by itself. All-in-all, not much to see here.

always a joy to visit with these fine folk, great beer. Just wish they would open their doors more frequently, but I understand they have brewing to do.

Great place with great beers. Smaller selection but always quality. Rarely very busy and almost never a wait to get a beer. The staff and owners are always nice and friendly, willing to answer all questions about current and forthcoming beers.

Great staff and great selection. Was glad they had boy king available since I was coming from out of town. These guys have some killer IPAs. A must stop if you're in the area.

Great little place. Warehouse style brewery and tasting area. The staff is always super nice and happy to help. Normally 4-5 beers for tasting around $5/pint. Tasting area is mostly picnic tables and people using random stuff to sit down their glasses. If you're doing a tour of some charleston breweries this one is a solid contributor.
