very tasty and well-balanced smoked porter. I've had the uber-rauch uber-alles versions of the style, and there's something to be said for balance. A smoked beer that is actually manageable by the pint, I would drink this again for sure. Would especially love to pair this with different foods (paired mine with their fantastic chicken sandwich, but this would go great with beef, or mexican with a kick.)

Appearance is a dark brown color with ruby edges and a finger of tan head that left decent lacing behind. Smoked malt is certainly present in the nose and in the flavor profile. On the finish, the focus shifts from smokiness to semi-dry bitterness. The body is hearty enough to hold the smoke, but lacks the fullness that I’d expect in a fine porter.
