Appearance is a cloudy muddy reddish brown with a finger of head that dissipated fairly steadily. The nose is primarily hoppy but malt notes are present as well. The body is hearty and the flavor profile is bold. Malt and hop flavors blend together well. There is just a hint of alcohol heat to this offering - I'd say 8% rather than 9% would be optimal for this beer.
