Large head from tap with a hazy orange/amber look to this beer. Sweet citrus nose. Malty and piney flavor with hints of bitter grapefruit. Decent carbonation and a somewhat thicker feel to this brew.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Slightly cloudy golden amber pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.
S: Toasty malts and piney hops. Light citrus and baking bread.
T/F: Toasted grains/biscuity malts provide some sweetness. Pine forward hop character... lighter grapefruit/citrus and some earthy/leaf stuff going on. Dank and sticky... light to medium bodied.
O: A very nice west coast style IPA... almost a DIPA given the ABV. Not overly bitter... super drinkable, and in general a great beer.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has an orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pine, citrus. Taste is pine, slightly dank, malts, little of the citrus apparent in the aroma. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

I hadn’t seen this beer before but found it at the local supermarket. Decided to give this high ABV IPA a try. Pours a very dark amber with nice head. Fruity but also malty biscuity smell. Taste is creamy malt with goo bitterness. Not bad

The review by 57md was right. The malt is as strong as the hops. Reminiscent of an English IPA such as Commodore Perry but higher alcohol. Was very fresh since I live near the brewery.

It has been some time since I had a beer from Fegley's Brew Works, not by design but just because there is just such a plethora of beer out there. This seems like a good time to catch up.
From the bottle: "Visit Fegley's Brew Works in Allentown and Bethlehem, PA. Family owned and operated. Brewing award-winning beer since 1998."
I Pop!ped the cap & began a slow, gentle pour into the awaiting glass. Once this was accomplished, I used an in-glass swirl to raise two-plus fingers of dense, rocky, light-tan head with good retention that left behind loads of sticky lacing as it fell. Color was a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a good bit of pine along with a solid grapefruit citrusiness underlain by a biscuit maltiness. This is more like the AIPAs that originally opened my eyes to being a hophead. The new Southern Hemisphere hops are fine, but there is nothing like good ol' PAC NW hops to really get me going. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was initially very piney and resinous, but then the grapefruit citrusiness began to assert itself while the biscuit malt remained a constant throughout. It was not really bitter, but it was quite dry with a slight woodiness. Finish was likewise dry, scratching an itch after far too long. A very nice, well-made AIPA that probably borders on being a DIPA.

Pours a light copper color with a finger of head. The nose is as malty as it is hoppy. The body is very hearty for the style and the flavor is malt-forward. The biggest deficiency seems to be that there is an odd character to the malty sweetness.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
L---Golden orange. Clear, but not transparent. Nice, off-white head that dissipates and leaves good lacing.
S---Hops are clear. Pine & citrus.
T---Follows the nose. Pine & citrus with perhaps some stone fruit.
F---A bit sticky. Good carbonation gives it a bit of fizz.
O---A nice IPA. Hoppy & flavorful. I'll have another, please.
