A - Pours a deep medium ruby orange color with very thick frothy white lacing on top. Carbonation is tight and steady, nice overall clarity in the beer.
S - Light sweet malt with some candied grapefruit aroma. For an 11% beer, there's no alcohol detection in the nose at all.
T - Balanced from start to finish between grapefruit and sweet malt. Sweetness from start to finish but there is a slight shot of citrus bitterness buried underneath at the very end. After the sip spicy, peppery grapefruit rind surfaces but in a subtle, well mannered way. (If that makes sense?)
M - Thick, viscous, chewy, and silky on the tongue. There is a layer sugary reside left on the lips that makes it lip smacking sticky. Some alcohol permeates in the back of the throat but very minimal.
O - Hop'solutely has always been a rock solid beer and this one is interesting enough to definitely give it a try.
