Enjoyed at Brew Works' Bourbon, Beer, & Bryson Fest...
Appears a near black with a dark tan head that sticks around. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of vanilla, bourbon, and oak on top of the dark, roasty, caramel, cocoa nibs, and marshmellows.
Taste is of the aromas with a flavorful bourbon punch that would seem to have come from the good ol method of bourbon straight to the batch. Flavorful and attention grabbing.
Mouthfeel is full bodied, chewy, with some bourbon notes melding with the oak tannins, and a nice touch of heat found at the finish.
Well done beer!
