On tap at the brewery, a fairly typical IPA, decently drinkable and tasty, but nothing I’d go running back to have again. Feels a bit big and a little boozy; floral and perfumy hops battle with a slightly overbearing malt sweetness; lacks clarity of flavor and refinement. The pour is nice enough looking; lightly hazed gold body with a slowly settling cap of white foam and moderate lacing. Body is a medium, maybe the slightest bit full, with medium carbonation. Not terrible but without crispness and a clean finish or any real smooth creaminess either. Aroma is mostly perfumed, flowery hop notes, some citrus as well. Finish is only semi-dry and has a bit of lingering bitterness. This wasn’t bad but nothing about it was above average either.
