Presentation: Sampled at the Bethlehem Brew Works.
Appearance: Brown body that seemed to change appearance depending on how it was lit. Dark brown when unlit shining amber when held to the light. Off-white head seemed to fizzle when it arrived. Medium carbonation.
Nose: Sweet malts at the start that rescind as the Saaz hops break through.
Taste: Lots of Munich and Vienna malts in this one. It is sweet but the use of several hop variants balances it all out in the latter third. The sweetness is prevalent but is clean and not cloying. Very Teutonic and Märzen like.
Mouthfeel: Solid presence from the Oktoberfest, the sweetness and malts obviously bolster the feel, but it is not heavy.
Drinkability: A bit too sweet and malty for my tastes, not that that is a bad thing, it just made this a little hard to finish at times. I made the mistake of having this with one of the excellent BBW Burgers, it was simply too sweet and malty for the food, and I struggled to finish this one.
Overall: I will freely admit that Im not that enamored by Oktoberfest beers in general, but this one was a nicely made brew nonetheless, its just not one of my favorite styles.

Dark amber with a nice khaki head that lasts and leaves a bit of lacing as well. Aromas are of faded hops, and very malty malts! This is definately a sweet malt monster with the hops in the background. Taste follows suit. Sweet malts with a typical german flare, and some light hops in the background. Mouthfeel is thicker than normal and very round and drinkability is very good. Do you like sweet, malty octoberfests? Grab this!
