Growler from Market of Choice.
A clear copper with a dense, beige head that sticks around for a while leaving little lacing, this looks solid. The nose is excellent. Clearly a riff on Coastal, but with a more bready/Vienna-like doughy malt note and with a firm but noticeable hop character with earth, mint, fresh cut grass and a touch of lemon. The palate opens soft and delectable, with a beautiful firming hop bitterness, a mild bready sweetness, a touch of caramel, a little bit of buckwheat, and some burnt sugar. While a touch sweet, the finish is clean, bitter and with a solid lingering hop flavor with earth and lemon present. Medium-light in body and creamily carbonated, this beer is excellent on the palate. Recommended.
