16oz can (dated 11/12/19, picture of Goodest Boi Ollie on the label) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a nearly solid dark brown color with 1/3 inch of tan head that had low retention and no lacing.
Deep, rich malts at the front of the nose, with a slight touch of roast behind. Maybe a bit of chocolate.
Similar on the tongue, with the roast being a bit bolder, especially on the finish.
The body was on the medium side of full, smooth, and had a medium-dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, I could happily drink this again.
Overall, a nice example of the style. You might not see this vintage, but grab whatever one you do see.

Look: Jet black, thick, light tan head that recedes to a minimal one with strong lacing
Aroma: Roast, coffee, chocolate, maraschino cherry (not the sweet/sugar part, but the cherry), and toffee
Taste: Chocolate, plums, lightly roasted coffee, still get the cherry but more raw dark fruit in flavor
Mouthfeel: Medium viscosity but the lager aspects come through here as it is thinner than the look/aroma/taste/ABV would lead one to think – solid
Overall: Good stuff and a harder-to-find style at that. Heater Allen makes another winner – cool label as always with the dogs too. Keep it up Lisa!

Thanks for the can!
Black with a dark brown head, this beer has clear reddish brown highlights. The nose is lovely chocolate, mild coffee and on a clean, mildly fruity lager base. A mildly minty hop character is present. The expression of dark malt here is quite sublime. Dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, a nice blend of dark caramel tempered by a little bitter, roasted grain. Awesome. The palate opens soft, creamy, medium full in body with a blend of dark caramel sweetness along with buckwheat honey, a mild dark fruit character with a little plum. There's also a good amount of dark chocolate with both bitter and sweet, creamy notes present. Finishing gracefully with lingering grainy bitterness, there's bitter dark chocolate, a little chicory, a hint of tobacco present. Carbonation is medium light, working nicely with the body to give a great mouthfeel. Delicious.

Clean near black body with crimson and chestnut highlights. Off white rocky foam, moderate retention, good spotty lacing.
Toasted but sweet bread, chocolate, and dark berry/ stone fruit aromas. Smells a bit too sweet for a Baltic Porter.
Flavor is similar with a big chocolatey dominance. Almost dessert like, appropriate for the season, with a slight nuttiness, some charred grain, and a suggestion of fig. Call me crazy, but there's definitely some champagne like flavor going on as well.
Rich, smooth and creamy, but a high level of carbonation does give off a bubbly end. Well balanced, and robust, with a slick feel that lasts.
A welcomed annual offering, and even more so with the little twists and tweaks made every year. Cheers.
