Canned Nov 16th of the 2020 bat h. Reviewed on a rainy March 4th '21. Dark brown pour, not totally opaque. Somewhat indistinct aroma, low head.

It's all about the taste here. Small sips as it warms slghtly are rewarded by layers of flavors: toffee, caramel, molasses and a hint of dark chocolate. Low carbonation, great feel. Light bitterness, clean finish. It's not the best Baltic Porter we've had, but holds its own.

2020. Medium darker brown body, light offwhite head. Smooth caramel and chocolate, mild crisp floral bite, a bit of brown sugar, finishing with a light caramel sweetness, maybe a touch of butterscotch. Medium lighter bodied, not thicc but still solid.

16 oz. single can from Lifesource Natural Grocer in Salem OR.
Pours a dark brown colour with a nice thick and creamy beige head.
Aroma is strange for a Baltic in that there appears to be some lactose aromas well to the forefront. Its cool though.
Taste is typical for style..but this is the first time i have gotten the "soy sauce" thing many complain about Baltics..right at the end.
Mouth feel is lighter for style..and still sticky...again the soy sauce vinegar..
I think this beer is done..too old

Thanks to Vurt for this one. 16oz can (dated 11/16/2020) poured into 14oz teku. Poured nearly solid black color with just under an inch of tan head that had very good retention and lacing.

Strong roast at the front of the nose with some solid, earthy grains in the background.

Pretty similar on the tongue, with the roast being a bit softer.

The body was a bot thinner than I expect in the style, but was still clean, nice, and smooth, with a medium finish.

Drinkability was very good, would drink as a regular if available.

Overall, a really nice brew. drink one if you get the chance.

Can from Uptown Market.

A very dark brown with a dense light brown head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is surprisingly muted on the roast front, instead leaning heavily on chocolate, dark caramel and bitter toffee to go with the mild but firm earthy hop bite. The palate opens a little thinner than ideal, and a little too carbonated, making this seem like a slightly watery Baltic Porter. Happily, once this warms up, and the carbonation dies down a little, the fully integrated flavor palate, with chocolate, caramel, toffee, dark fruit, are all present. Mildly sweet with bitter caramel on the finish, this beer is medium light in body and moderately carbonated. Arguably a lesser vintage.

Poured into a Reuben's Brew small snifter. Pours a medium to dark, hazy, reddish brown with a fine, two finger khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of biscuit and dry caramel malt, raisins and dates. Flavor is biscuit and dry caramel malt with a little toastiness, figs, dates, hints of coffee and dark stone fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I missed this that last few years, but remember it fondly. This is a great holiday porter, although it does not have any spicing, it has a festive, stolid winter character that's perfect. The malt are interesting and full bodied. Less cherry notes than a classic Baltic porter, but there is some dark fruit character. Great flavorful, malty porter. Well done. This would be an annual standard if I saw it every year.

This one is like a train steaming down the line - it just goes Choo! Choo! Choo! Nothing crazy, it just does the trick like Sandy Koufax busting off another fool at the plate. I’ma get out of here.

Be well.

Pours a deep ruby brown when a thin tan head and minimal lacing.

Smell is mostly dark fruits with a hint of caramel.

The taste is sweet raisin, burnt caramel, more dark fruits and light sweetness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is thin with medium carbonation and a lingering, dark fruit finish.

Overall this has great complex flavor.
