The first Ale I've had from this regionally renowned lager brewery. 16oz can (dated 10/1/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very cloudy, bordering on murky, orange-ish yellow color with an inch of white head that decent retention and light lacing.

A light lemon scent was on top of soft, yet solid, grains in the nose. Same on the tongue; lemon forward, nice earthy grains, and a bit of hop bite at the back. The body was light-medium, smooth (with just a touch of coarseness), and a medium-dry finish.

Drinkability was good, I could maybe drink a couple more of these. Overall, a nicely solid brew. If they cleaned up the visuals a bit, I'd like it more.

Pours a clear golden yellow with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Srpitzy on the tongue with delightful slushy carbonation. Biscuity and dry, more tangy than malty. Quite light body but plenty flavorful. Aroma of lemon peel and grain. Flavor is quite distinctly piney.

Some scratchy sensation in the aftertaste, a touch of resiny astringency, and a modest bittererness. Very tasty and lively light brew, if a little on the austere side. From the 16 oz can purchased at New Seasons. Canned 10/01/21.

Well, one things for sure: drinking this one for me is a Sandy Koufax curveball. A 4.5% Pale Ale? Yeah, can’t tell you the last time I had something like that. And because of that, I think it’s a bit tough to review at first. But if someone can handle it, you know it’s your boy Raul.

Well, it’s pretty simple: it’s nice, it’s light, and it’s easy. No, I’m not talking about my girlfriend during junior year at State. This one is just a simple beauty that you shouldn’t spend too much time thinking about.

See you next time, my children.

Can from Uptown Market.

A clear light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is classic pale ale. Soft, citrus hops, bright, mildly floral, soft biscuit malt. The palate opens firmly bitter with oily, bitter citrus peel, citrus zest and bright tangelo. The mid-palate is soft, creamy, very delicately chewy with a light biscuit malt character, a really fresh and inviting flavor. Drying, bitter, oily on the finish. Quite lovely.

Canned Oct 1, purchased on the 6th and rated on the 13th. It pours exactly as you'd expect: faintly hazy, clean frothy head, nice lacing. Nose is a light piney aroma with a lager-like yeast wafting through.

Taste is a clean bitterness tempered with a simple but enjoyable malt. Lighter than many APA, it'd make a refreshing beer for everyday use. Modest 4.5% makes it easy to enjoy one or maybe another.
