Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a dark reddish brown with a fine, two finger khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of biscuit and dry caramel malt, raisins, dates and a hint of nuts. Flavor is biscuit and dry caramel malt with a hint of smoke, raisins, figs and a little dried plum. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This has arrived erratically in the Seattle area over the years, but I get it whenever it shows up. Not sure there is a great deal of variability in the annual recipe, but it's usually a few years between samples, so it's difficult to say. This seems very much like previous years with a solid Baltic porter body with less bright fruit flavors, but plenty of dried fruit. Less optical density than a standard porter. Although it doesn't appear to be spiced, it always has a seasonal, festive taste. Always a pleasure.

16 oz can from a 4 pack purchased from Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
On sale $8
Pours a dark brown..coca cola brown. Nice sized tan head.
Aromas of dark chocolate, sea salt and fudge.
Taste similar. But with hints of dried dates and figs..and an almost meaty , smoky aspect at the very end.
.mouth feel is very lively and non sticky.
A lovely drinkable Baltic.

Pours a dark golden-tinged brown with long-lasting foam in the Bacchus tumbler. Lush and sudsy in the mouth. Roasty aroma. Malty and moderately sweet. Dark toffee and a bit of burnt coffee. There's a fruity, smokey note with a woodsy and bitter aftertaste. This is one of the best Baltic Porters I've tried. Close your eyes and you could be in Lithuania. From the 16 oz can dated 11/11/22.

Our third year of this beer. Lots of things to say about, mostly superlatives.
