Look: Medium to light orange in color and fairly clear with a sudsy white head that rapidly settles to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Pilsner malt, floral hops, some freshly cut grass, lemongrass, crackers, limes, and herbal notes
Taste: Kicks off with a lemon-lime combo that hits sharp and quick before being followed with a plethora of floral hop notes; Stephan’s jasmine, rock daphne, and Koreanspice viburnum all in play. Pilsner malt and crackers hold for balance and closes with more lemon-lime
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean finish with a hint of dryness
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I love Heater Allen and dig and support the Pink Boots Society so try and score this each year and this is another good one. Honestly, to my nose and palate, this pale ale blurs the line for me between an APA and a Pilsner as both the pilsner malt and floral-dominant hops remind me of a pilsner. Either way, it’s good and worth trying
