Draft pint enjoyed at John's Marketplace in Beaverton.
Look-
Lovely rich gold-orange color with a minimal glow of haze, capped with a finger of bright white creamy foam that shrinks quickly to a thick collar.
Smell-
Sumptuous bready malt with gentle sweetness. There's also a touch of earthy and floral hops, along with a pinch of woody herbs. Clean and robust.
Taste-
Ahhh, there's that delicious, chewy malt right up front, with a touch of toasty sweetness like a Vienna lager. A subtle yeast character rides on top of the malt through the middle, and leads to a lengthy finish full of malt and delicate hop spice on the breath.
Feel-
Medium-bodied with a luscious creamy texture. Soft-to-moderate carbonation. Round and chewy.
Overall-
This is one of the best beers I've had so far this year. Succulent malt perfectly balanced by spicy noble hops. Full-flavored yet easy to drink. An absolute pleasure.
