I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at WABL Belgianfest 2015.
Appearance: medium-dark amber hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of ivory foam; pretty good for a tripel.
Smell: super, super fruity; there's pear and apple in there, which I usually like in the style, but this is a bit too fruit-juicy for me. There's a part of me that wants to love it, but it's just too weird for that.
Taste: sweet and malty with more of that big fruitiness. It's almost tropical: banana, mango and papaya in there with the apple and pear. It's all a bit too much, and it kind of seems unintentional. Definitely bizarre (though not in any way gross). Odd stuff.
Mouthfeel: medium body with an OK carbonation and creaminess. It's alright.
Overall: certainly not the worst thing in the world, but it's not a great tripel. That said, I didn't mind drinking it.
