Gallaghers' "Signature Beer" is patterned after Mac and Jack's Amber Ale. It is bronze with a light head, soft body, and casual taste parameters. Initially, it drinks easily. But warming brings a lemon rind tartness and diminished drinkability with pervasive unrefined qualities. The taste is leafy, dry, fibrous. Though the beer is dry-hopped, no appreciable hop aroma emerges, just an ambivalent doughiness.
