Consumed 02/18/09 at Stone World Bistro, Escondido, CA.
Medium amber colored brew. Clear. Well-carbonated: tiny bubbles march up the sides of the glass non-stop. No head when glass was presented; just sticky off-white foam.
The nose notes a sweet, nutty aroma.
Very flavorful. Strong caramel malt character. Slight nuttiness. Honey and molasses - this is a sweet beer. Stops just short of cloying, but thank goodness it was a smallish glass.
Unexceptional mouthfeel.
Not sure how long or if this beer was conditioned, but more time on this brew would probably increase drinkability and decrease that almost-too-much sweetness..
