was excited to see a 3.8% english mild on the men, but this one let me down.
very light yellow, short head. smells a little earthy (good) but also like glacial hops (not as good) though nobles are in use, and the yeast contribtion gives an impression this may have been fermented too warmly. the flavor is a pale version of the nose and lacks complexity, something not helped at all by the too watery body. yeah it's only 3.8% but that's not enough excuse. there are much better low abv ales around (just wish they were more prevalent).

SQ English Summer Ale is only 3.8 percent, session beer anyone? It was served in a standard pint, the beer is a light yellowish gold with a slight chill haze. It has a bone white head and really nice lace.
Light grains and floral hops in the nose.
The taste mirrors the smell. The beer is slightly sweet the hops lending the beer a slightly floral aspect. A little bit of pine taste in the finish.
The mouth is crisp but not overly carbonated.
Very nice summer beer reminds me a bit of the Fullers Summertime I enjoyed in London.
