A - The beer is poured well offering a waterfall of medium brown into a dark brown to black body. The head is light tan and creamy looking as can be.
S - Citrusy hops prevail.
T - Mild citrus y hops with a firm malty base. Despite the deep color there is no real presence of coffee or chocolate.
M - The beer on nitro is smooth as silk my friends.
~ This is a great beer for a sampling but not more than two in a sitting. I strongly recommend you try this beverage if you like beer. This is a winner.

I had this on tap at red eye brewing company for lunch. What better way to break up your day than to have a black IPA in the middle of it?
Appearance: as dark as any other black IPA. A nice 1/2 to 3/4 inch espresso colored head. You cold not see the other side of the glass when held up to the light. There was little lacing as I drank it.
Smell: mostly hops, a little bit of an alcohol smell, and a little sweet.
Taste: It has a rich taste at first with a foretaste of the Malty goodness. After the initial taste, it turns quite hoppy with a little hint of citrus. Stays hoppy through the aftertaste. Does not linger on the tongue too long ... Just enough to want more.
Mouth feel: fairly light. Only sticks around for a little while. Not very carbonated, but seemed to be just right.
Overall: this was a very solid black IPA. On the way out I had to order a growler for the weekend. I would definitely come back for another on tap.

Had on tap on from the growler. It pours a dark brown which is opaque and basically black when held to the light. A 3/4 inch light tan head forms and leaves an over-the-top lacing.
The aroma is primarily a citrusy hops, oranges. Somewhat mild but okay.
The taste is a nice pine/citrus hops with not a whole lot else. Not complex, but definitely tasty.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bit heavy on the carbonation. A pleasant but mild dryness lingers. Nominally bitter.
Overall, this beer is drinkable and another solid collection to add to the Red Eye Brewing solid list of beers. This brewery has a great line-up and this adds to it. Solid, easily drinkable beers that are appropriate for their style and very good.
