A collaboration between Galway Hooker and Trouble Brewing, I had this on tap at Abbot's Alehouse in Co. Cork poured into a 1L Mass. The barman told me this was the only keg they were getting.
A: Golden brown with an inch and a half frothy head in the 1L glass, A bit of lacing as the head settled to a thin film on the top of the beer, a bit thicker around the edges.
S: Bready with hints of spice from the belgian yeast and floral hop character with a little citrus.
T: Much the same as the nose, overall bready taste with bits of nutty aftertaste followed by a smooth floral takeover much like a tripel, then a tinge of citrus to finish it off.
M: Goes down easily, not a harsh carbonation, not too dry but enough to let the hops linger.
O: Pretty good beer. Glad I got to have this pretty rare collab release. Also perfect way to start off the night, drinking a liter of a fairly high ABV beer.
