Had on tap at King's Head. Was struck by the nice bread work in the malting and hops to give this red ale a fuller body, and then brought a sweet honey and bitter straw element to top it off, making it full yet drinkable. Not super complex, but all of the key red ale elements are present in strong and lovely ways.

Special brew for the King's Head pub in Galway. Pours a clear red colour. Cereal and caramel malt nose, a bit of toast and a some bitter hops. Tastes bitter throughout, lighter bodied than expected.
Balanced malt body stays mellow in the background, lending a touch of sweetness but nm. Bitter and toasty finish, with a slight after palate of hay.
