The beer pours a deep black color with a 1/2" tan head that fades to spotty lacing. The aroma is good. It has a dry oatmeal feel that boasts of black patent and chocolate malts. The taste is good also. It has a dry black malt flavor with a slight chocolate malt sweetness that appears in the finish. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a full bodied beer with less than adequate carbonation. This is a pretty good brew. I like the aroma. I like the flavor. It's needs a better mouthfeel.

I'll start by saying this is something I rarely do (in fact, this is the first time): review from memory. Though in this case, only because the brew is local and doesnt have many reviews. A good middle of the road oatmeal stout. Doesnt compare to my favorites of the style (lighter then Anderson Valley Barney Flats and not as flavorful as Samuel Smith's) but its a good, easy drinking stout. Light cabonation, which doesnt last long. Cant see through it though, which is a good sign. Taste is 'typical stout' with a little twist from the oatmeal. Light in the mouthfeel for the style and not as robust as it could be. Very smooth, as your typical oatmeal stout should be. Overall average though, nothing that stands out.
