The beer pours a brown color with a thick frothy offwhite/tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a dry roasted scent that boasts of crystal and chocolate malts along with roasted barley. The taste is decent. It has a thin malt flavor that goes down easy and finishes bitter. The taste is a big let down from the aroma. The mouthfeel is average. It is a medium bodied beer with less than adequate carbonation. This beer seemed promising, but it lacks real malt presence and complexity along with a decent mouthfeel. It's one and done for me.
