500ml can, day 17 of the Costco Canada 2014 Beer Advent calendar. It seems to me that there is a bit of interplay among Eichbaum, Frankenthaler, and Park & Bellheimer in the actual beers of this package case, the details of which I do not care to investigate.

This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly eggshell white head, which leaves some layered fraying cloud lace around the glass as it gently subsides.

It smells of bready, doughy cereal malt, warmed lemon juice, white pepper, and earthy, leafy noble hops. The taste is more semi-sweet, grainy pale malt, corny cereal notes, neutered drupe fruit, ethereal lemon zest, and kind of sour earthy, weedy, and grassy hops.

The carbonation is fairly active, in a plain-ass frothy manner, the body a so-so middleweight, and not un-smooth, with an airy creaminess growing as it warms. It finishes on the sweet side, a bit of strange alcohol perfumery being bandied about, while the still cheap-seeming cereal malts keep on keeping it between the lines.

Another average, nothing to really write home about (this isn't being sent to my home, is it?!) German lager, one that possesses none of the crisp and hoppy essences of that region's better offerings, ya know, the things called pilseners. Anyways, the confusion over where this is made only makes my interest wane further.
