Sample pour on tap
A - Slightly cloudy dark amber color with a small, dense, off-white head.
S - Toasted malts with a little coffee-cocoa hint and some dark fruit sweetness. Very malty with just enough hops on the finish to slightly balance it out.
T - Buttered toast. Nice and malty with a coffee-cocoa hint and a hop bitterness that's well balanced on the finish.
M - Smooth and light to medium in body with a light but a noticeably hoppy bitter finish.
D - A fantastic substitute to the standard 3.2 beer. Great flavor and smell but not overpowering. Best beer from here. I was surprised at it's quality.

Very dark for an amber. Nice head even after being in the growler for a week. A malty aroma with just a hint of hops.
The taste is very smooth and well balanced. Not a big hop bite at the end but a nice finish. This seems to be a little thicker than your average amber. Seemed closer to a porter as far as taste and mouthfeel go.
I would recommend this one, as opposed to their pale ale, which disappointed me when I had it on tap at the brewpub.
