This is the kind of beer that I want to give a second chance to on tap. Malty with not a real strong hop presence. Not impressed...but looking forward to this brewery's development and growth.

I bought this at a hotel shop to drink in the room while I worked. It looked promising -- more-or-less local, etc. The aroma was more malty than hoppy -- that's OK because it is supposed to be a traditional English IPA. Modest head, definitely carbonated, even some lace. Light amber, lots of bubbles -- looked a bit like stale ginger ale. The taste was also more malty than hoppy. That would have been fine also, but what really ruined it for me was the metallic aftertaste, like rusty nails. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but I'm not planning to try another one to find out.
