Thoroughbrew Farmhouse Ale

this farmhouse beer, or biere de garde, pours a nice clear golden amber with a small nearly white head that fades to nothing rather quickly. the aroma brings some spiciness and fruit esters from the considerable effervescence, as well as some sweetness, not sure what sort of malt. it remains a little on the subtle side though. the taste follows suite quite nicely with a crisp spicy tang and a clean fruity finish. a nice light to medium body with the more than adequate carbonation make this a pretty easy drinker.

I'm not sure if it matters but apparently this beer recipe wasn't formulated by the Davidson Brothers at all, but rather The Saratoga Thoroughbrews, a local brew club. I think they did a good job with it.
