If you are a tourist, especially from outside Europe, SKIP THIS PLACE! The waiter is xenophobic!
TODAY, September 22nd, we visited for 3 minutes. Yes, only 3 minutes!!! We were at the pub and chose a table in the outside area. We didn’t notice that it was a "dusty table" (previously used and not cleaned). The waiter was extremely rude, asking where we were from. When we answered that we were Brazilian, he said: "Makes sense! You would pick a dusty table when there are other options available." We explained that we hadn’t noticed any dust (because there wasn’t any) and chose the table due to its location. He kept insisting that it wouldn’t happen again and that we should learn from this. We got up and left the pub. We will never return to this place, and we do not recommend it to anyone.

This was only a few blocks from our hotel and also a maybe four blocks from the Old Town. It does a booming business with a mix of tourists and locals.
The décor is wood and more wood with multiple rooms including some that are themed,
They had four or five house beers and a few mixed beer/soft drink options. They are traditional styles and I thought my Monastery lager and dark lager were both good.
The food is also traditional and if you like this style of food you will not be disappointed. Try the pork dishes or the dumplings or both as I really liked them.
Well worth a stop and it is located close to some good craft and traditional beer places.

The place has great potential, there are six options of beers on tap. But only 3 have description style, the others have names in Slovaco and when I asked the waitress what kindle of styles of the other three who had not description she commented that also did not know, and told me that she did not like beer.

I go to the Slovak pub often during my relatively frequent holidays in Slovakia. The pub is located just outside the beautiful old city center of Bratislava (recommendable to visit if you are in Vienna), in a nice shopping street. The pub is located on the second floor, and has many different rooms, each of them telling a part of Slovak history using wall-paintings. The pub is cozy, with a lot of wood everywhere. Most of the costumers are students and tourists. It is always quite busy, which is a good sign.
The beer selection is average, they have most local Slovak brews (pilsners and dark lager) and also some Czech ones. I normally come here to drink a few pints of easy drinkable, but high quality pilsner beers, together with some traditional Slovak food. The menu is really decent, and they serve a lot of typical Slovak dishes and prices are very low (although almost doubled compared to one year ago, before Slovakia introduced the Euro). The quality of the food is good. Service is a bit cold, but not unfriendly. The only disadvantage of this pub is, that one can smoke in the majority of the rooms (not all of them luckily!). When around, hungry and interested in eating local food with some good pilsner beers, highly recommendable!

1. Slovak Pub is located in Bratislava on Obchodná which is a relatively busy street of shops and bars/restaurants. It is not too far from Hurbanovo námestie. Not sure what the parking situation is but it is walkable from the port.
The outside looks a little on the seedy side, and once you walk in you go up a flight of stairs to enter the pub. The interior is segmented into several rooms, all of which seem to allow smoking. Most of the seating is in large wooden tables.
The beer selection is average. They carry two house beers called Dobré Pifko (10 & 12%) which I believe translates to "student beers", in other words you have to be a student to drink them. They also carry some of the other common beers from the region like Kaiser and Zlaty Bazant (Golden Pheasant).
Service was about what you would expect considering neither we nor the server spoke each other's language. Somehow we were able to order the student beers though, so mission accomplished. Aside from that, the very common practice of taking forever to get your drinks and check was in effect. However the fact that after all the struggling the server charged the student price made it worth the effort.
We did not try any of the food but the menu seemed fairly robust.
Overall this place is worth seeking out if only for the fact that it appears to be the only brewpub in Bratislava.
