What an interesting brew...fron the Right Brain beer menu, "French Pilsen malt, German Vienna malt and Canadian winter wheat aged in Black Star Farm cherry port casks for 14 weeks." DAMN!
A-Orange kissed golden ywllow with a thin white ring. No lace what so ever.
S-Musty oak and a hint of tart cherry.
T-Dry oak bitterness with a wash of tart cherries. This one takes a lot of it's flavour character from the port barrel.
M-Medium-light bodied witha very sharp astringent dry finish.
D-Nice, a bit light overall but certainly a well done and interesting brew. Nice to see a brewery utilizing products of other local establishments. I would like to try the Black Star Farm Cherry Port to compare!

On tap at Right Brain Brewery on 11/29/08. Another unique creation from Right Brain utilizing "French Pilsen malt, German Vienna malt and Canadian winter wheat aged in Black Star Farm cherry port casks for 14 weeks." This one defies categorization, but I listed it as an American Pale Wheat Ale.
A - Clear pale golden/straw-colored body ample carbonation and a thin, white head that left minimal lace.
S - Spicy, yeasty nose with subtle hints of clove, toasted grains and just a pinch of mild sour cherry notes in the back. Complex yet subtle aroma.
T - Like the aroma, the flavors are also quite subtle. The spices and yeast certainly give this a kick, and the mild tartness of the cherry adds a nice contract. The malt displays a toasted quality throughout. Finishes with just a speck of hop bitterness.
M - Smooth and light bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes with only a minimal hop presence.
D - Another interesting and unique concoction from Right Brain that is extremely easy to drink.
