A-Hazy, deep copper with thin off-white head that held strong and left nice lace.
S-Malty bready sweet up front with spicy, earthy hops in the background. More English in the nose than American.
T-Malt-forward, bready and sweet caramel with lesser notes of citrus, spice and earthy hops in support. Not convinced at the American IPA badge on this one.
M-Medium-bodied and smooth with a light lasting bitterness.
D-While this is certainly not a bad beer it is too malt forward for my taste. I would like a bit more hops in the forefront to make this the IPA it could be.

On tap at Right Brain Brewery on 11/29/08. This was listed as an IPA with "a hoppy flavor without much bitterness. Its slight spiciness comes from Santiam and Phoenix hops."
A - Nice hazy, almost cloudy, deep orange/copper-colored body with thin, off-white head that retained well and left quite a lot of ornate lacing around the glass.
S - Pretty malty nose for an IPA with some citrus and earthy hops in there. However, this IPA has a more pronounced caramel and bready malt presence with a slight toasted character rather than an intensely hoppy aroma.
T - Malt-forward IPA with only a moderate hop character possessing a slight citrus bitterness with some earthy, herbal qualities. Plenty of caramel malt adds some sweetness to the pot. Finishes with a toasted grain and bready malt aspect.
M - Smooth, medium-bodied IPA with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Finish is only mildly bitter on the palate.
D - Decent IPA, but this one could benefit from a more assertive hop profile. The right side of my brain is demanding more hops, please!
