Made with Scottish peat smoked malt to give the brew an earthy and smoky flavour.
A-Light copper with a thin white head that left spotty lace.
S-Very light smoke accented by a bit of sweet, roasty malt.
T-Smoky malt upfront with an underlying sweetness. Smoke flavour more assertive on the palate versus in the aroma. Earthy hops tantilize in the background. Not over the top but rather a pleasant smoky peat tickle.
M-Medium-light body with a lingering smoky, dry finish.
D-Well done. A smoked beer for beginners. This one has enough flavour to please the smoke beer lover but not so much to scare off newcomers to the style.
