I've read about this beer in a few publications and thought I'd give it a try, especially being that I was asking myself...beer and beets?
When viewing the beer, and as the waitress made a comment on, you could definitely tell which one was the Beet Wheat by the light/bright red color.
When smelling the beer, you're presented with a strong beet/earthy smell
Basically when tasting the beer, you're presented with a strong beet after taste, this is the factor that's pretty much only noticable.
overall the beer had a interesting taste to it and was very unique. I did enjoy it, though as stated above, If you're not a fan of red beets this may not be the beer for you. It was nice to be able to try and is a true novelty beer. If presented with the opportunity to drink this beer again, I would.

Another head scratcher....a wheat beer made with oven roasted beets?
A-Gorgeous, brilliant red copper with a medium white head that hangs on and leaves nice lace.
S-A bit of sweetness in the nse but not much else.
T-Beet sweetness up front with underlying support from the biscuit malt. A bit of light spicy bitterness in the finish.
M-Medium-light body with a crisp, dry finish.
D-Nice, easy to drink. Very crisp and refreshing. Another "odd" concoction that works well.
