Draft sample at MBGF Summer 2009.
Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus hop, rye and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy rye bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
My expectations where met with a good complex beer.

Aroma: Crisp, spicy hop aromatics up front. I love the spicy ry notes. No fruity esters. Very clean fermentation character.
Apperance: Nearly clear amber pour with a sticky and sudsy white head.
Flavor: Nice, crisp hop flavors up front. Just a hint of citric hop character. Balance is firmly bitter. Balance is firmly toward the hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, high carbonation, and a bit of slipperiness on the palate.
Overall impression: A spicy, well hopped IPA. Strongly recommended.
